Valery Kiselyov

Valery Kiselev is a famous Moscow jazz saxophone and clarinet player, leader of the Classical Jazz Ensemble.

During the 70s and 80s, he was the leader of the saxophone section in leading Moscow orchestras, including Oleg Lundstrem and Anatoly Kroll’s jazz orchestras, as well as the State Radio and Television Big Concert Orchestra. Since 1998 he is the soloist of the Russian State Symphony Cinema Orchestra.

Valery Kiselev took part in numerous jazz festivals both in Russia and abroad. In 1992, he was the leader of the saxophone group in the Natalie Cole Orchestra.

Today, Valery Kiselyov’s Quartet’s repertoire includes about 700 pieces, most of which are the best examples of jazz classics arranged by the leader of the band. The ensemble also performs popular music, world hits of the 20-70s.
